Meet Our Senior Minister: Ismael David Rivera, B.S.L.
Avon Park Christian Church is blessed to be led by Senior Minister Ismael David Rivera—known simply as “David”—whose love for God’s Word and heart for people shape every aspect of his ministry.
David began preaching in 2015 at Iglesia de Cristo in Phoenix, Arizona, and was ordained as an Evangelist in 2017. He later served at Encounter Christian Church in Winter Park, Florida, before God called him to Avon Park. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he shares the Gospel with clarity, compassion, and conviction.
He holds a Bachelor of Sacred Literature from Northwest College of the Bible in Portland, Oregon, and a Ministry Training Certificate from the Advance Center for Ministry Training in Kissimmee, Florida. His passion for ministry and family was inspired early by his parents, Ismael and Norma Rivera, whose faithful service still impacts his life today.
